As other news outlets have cut back on journalistic endeavors, the Essex Retorter has stepped in to spotlight Town and Village municipal governments.

We attend a multitude of meetings, check facts, research history, and listen closely to people on the street.

After connecting-the-dots, we take photos, create graphics and post observations. We consider contrary opinions to improve our analyses and proposals.

We then work with a number of proofreaders to ensure  journalistic integrity and tight writing.
