At a blessedly brief Village Trustee meeting on November 2nd, a motion was passed to construct a permanent metal, wood and concrete pavilion to replace the tent that has sheltered folks using Brownell Library’s WIFI.
This structure will be paid for by a Local Government Expense Reimbursement Grant received for increased operating costs associated with doing business in a pandemic environment. Although a bit smaller than the tent, it won’t need to be retrieved from the Five Corners after a windstorm, as the tent has on occasion.
Trustees noted that it will aid the Annual Book Sale, as well as other events. In the future that area might see electrification.
